Phenomenology workshop

Professor Judith Sixsmith and Dr Karen Beaulieu

This workshop will explore both descriptive and interpretive phenomenology. It will provide the opportunity to establish the differences between philosophies, methodologies and their application to research through lecture and discussion. Students will design and conduct a phenomenological interview and will have access to phenomenological data from an Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) research study in order to understand the nature of the data and begin to analyse such data.

This workshop is open to any student currently registered on a research degree programme at the University of Northampton or any Early Career Researchers. Further information is available from Simone Apel (simone.apel@northampton.ac.uk; 01604 893418).
